EL Cook/Prep

Prep Cook at El Pollo Loco responsible for preparing ingredients and food items per brand recipes and safety standards, including marinating chicken, chopping produce, portioning proteins, preparing salsas, labeling/date-storing per FIFO, and supporting grill and kitchen operations during high-volume periods. Will follow approved recipes, prep lists, and portion controls; maintain clean prep areas and sanitization of tools/equipment; monitor prep levels and communicate shortages or quality concerns; ensure food safety and compliance with health regulations; work collaboratively with cooks, grill staff, and management; adapt to flexible schedules. Requires ability to stand/walk for extended periods, handle knives and prep equipment, and work in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen environment.
