Job Summary
Cashier duties include accurately taking orders at the POS, processing payments, and ensuring a friendly guest experience. Maintain front counter and dining area cleanliness, follow food safety standards, restock supplies, assist with opening/closing duties, and uphold brand standards (WKS/El Pollo Loco) during every guest interaction. Requires strong customer service, basic cash handling, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and reliable transportation; high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Reports to Shift Leader / Assistant Manager / General Manager and works in a fast-paced restaurant setting with flexible hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic communication and customer service skills
- Basic cash handling and POS experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation
