EL Assistant Manager

Job Summary
Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring shifts run efficiently and safely, and supporting the development of team members. Responsible for hiring/onboarding/training, coaching and performance feedback, enforcing food safety and compliance standards, managing inventory, controlling food and labor costs, and providing leadership in the GM’s absence. Focus on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining standards, and achieving financial and operational targets in a fast-paced El Pollo Loco environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of restaurant or retail supervisory experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
- ServSafe certification required (or must obtain within required timeframe).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, smart safe operation, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
