EL Assistant Manager

Job Summary
Assistant Manager oversees daily restaurant operations, supports the General Manager in hiring, onboarding, coaching, and developing team members, ensures high levels of customer service and adherence to food safety standards, manages shift staffing and cost controls, and acts as the person in charge in the General Manager's absence. Responsibilities include shift-level coaching, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, inventory and waste control, ordering/receiving, cash handling, and maintaining a positive work environment while delivering efficient operations and service metrics. Requires ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain), 1–2 years of supervisory experience in restaurant/retail, strong leadership and communication skills, proficiency with POS and basic computer skills, and ability to work flexible hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred
- ServSafe certification required (or must obtain within required timeframe)
- Minimum 1–2 years of restaurant or retail supervisory experience
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, smart safe operation, and basic computer skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work at nearby locations as needed
