Job Summary
EL Pollo Loco Assistant Manager oversees daily restaurant operations in the absence of the General Manager, leads shift staffing and coaching, ensures food safety and compliance, manages inventory and costs, delivers customer service excellence, and supports financial performance. Requires 1–2 years of supervisory experience, high school diploma or equivalent, ServSafe certification (or obtainable), strong leadership and communication skills, POS/cash-handling proficiency, and flexible availability for nights/weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- ServSafe certification required (or must obtain within required timeframe)
- Minimum 1–2 years of restaurant or retail supervisory experience required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, smart safe operation, and basic computer skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work at nearby locations as needed
