Job Summary
Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, oversees shift operations, hires and develops team, ensures food safety and compliance, drives customer service metrics, and acts as person in charge when the General Manager is not present. Responsibilities include shift staffing and deployment, coaching and performance feedback, maintaining a positive work environment, managing inventory and costs, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, handling deposits and cash processes, resolving customer issues, and communicating effectively with staff and supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- ServSafe certification required (or must obtain within required timeframe)
- Minimum 1–2 years of restaurant or retail supervisory experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, smart safe operation, and basic computer skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work at nearby locations as needed
