Job Summary
Assistant Manager extends the General Manager’s leadership to overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient shift execution, coaching and developing team members, maintaining food safety and compliance standards, managing customer service quality, and supporting financial and operational targets. The role acts as the person in charge in the General Manager’s absence, drives staffing and deployment decisions, enforces training, performance feedback, and adherence to standards, and collaborates across operations to deliver a positive, fast, clean guest experience. Key competencies include leadership, team development, food safety compliance, inventory and cost monitoring, cash handling and POS proficiency, customer service excellence, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of restaurant or retail supervisory experience required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred
- ServSafe certification required (or must obtain within required timeframe)
