Job Summary
Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring shifts run efficiently and safely, and assists in hiring, onboarding, and developing team members. Responsibilities include coaching, enforcing uniform and grooming standards, maintaining customer service and food safety/compliance standards, overseeing shift operations (opening/closing, inventory, product preparation, waste control), monitoring financials (food and labor costs, deposits, cash handling), and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role acts as person-in-charge when the General Manager is not present and requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive service metrics and a positive work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of restaurant or retail supervisory experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ServSafe certification required (or must obtain within required timeframe)
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, smart safe operation, and basic computer skills
