Job Summary
Assistant Manager position supporting the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, shift staffing, ensuring food safety and compliance, monitoring service metrics, managing inventory and costs, and stepping in as person in charge when the GM is absent. Responsibilities include leading and developing team members, delivering high levels of customer service, enforcing a positive work environment, overseeing opening/closing procedures, safety protocols, and adherence to quality and service standards, plus using POS/cash handling systems and basic computer tools to monitor financial performance and staffing efficiency. Key skills include leadership, communication, problem-solving, multitasking, coaching and performance feedback, training, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with ServSafe and company procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of restaurant or retail supervisory experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- ServSafe certification required (or must obtain within required timeframe).
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, smart safe operation, and basic computer skills.
