Job Summary
Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring shifts run efficiently and safely. Responsibilities include hiring, onboarding, training, motivating and developing team members; conducting shift-level coaching and enforcing grooming standards; maintaining food safety and compliance; overseeing opening/closing procedures, inventory and waste control; managing customer service and service metrics; monitoring daily sales and costs; and stepping in as person in charge when the General Manager is not present. Requires strong leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills, ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain), and the ability to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe
- Minimum 1–2 years of restaurant or retail supervisory experience
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, smart safe operation, and basic computer skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work at nearby locations as needed
