Job Summary
Perform venipuncture for all age groups and conduct EKGs on patients according to established standards. Execute lab safety audits, manage inventory of general supplies, and maintain accurate lab records. Train new personnel as needed and perform related work assigned by the supervisor. Occasional travel to other clinic locations is required for laboratory support, with mileage reimbursement upon supervisor submission. This full-time role at Christie Clinic's Laboratory department in Champaign involves varied hours Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday coverage.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- Completion of phlebotomy and EKG course (Can be substituted by one year's experience)
- CPR
- Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range
- Vision correctable to 20/20
- Manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment
- Potential for travel to other lab locations
- Mileage will be reimbursed after employee submits to supervisor
- Working irregular hours
