EKG Technician

Perform electrocardiograms and pediatric EKG testing following department policies and procedures. Identify patients, assist with preparation, and apply electrodes according to universal standards for lead placement, including right-sided and posterior chest leads for pediatric cases. Prepare EKG machines for daily use, check equipment and supplies, and remove and clean equipment at the end of shift. Answer patient questions regarding the procedure to ensure relaxation. Requires High School Diploma, current Basic Life Support Professional Certification, and 1-3 years of technical experience.
