Job Summary
Perform quality EEGs including awake and asleep studies, video EEGs, cerebral silence, and portable EEGs while calibrating instruments to proper technical standards. Execute procedures in accordance with the 10-20 system, Medical Director guidelines, and departmental policies for patients of all ages. Recognize and respond to life-threatening tracings, communicate with physicians regarding test availability and patient condition changes, and facilitate study completion and reporting. Take calls on a rotating basis and accept responsibility for designated areas and procedures. Maintain relationships with all healthcare personnel and participate in outstanding customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- BLS certification
- Detail-oriented
- Organizational skills
- Communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate basic understanding of interpretation of EEGs
- Ability to maintain a high skill level of knowledge of EEG through ongoing education and information sharing
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a formal neurodiagnostic program
- Neurodiagnostic experience
