EKG Electrocardiogram Technician

Job Summary
Performs diagnostic electrocardiograms (EKGs) by attaching and connecting electrodes to leads from an electrocardiograph machine; monitors patients during procedures, reviews records, instructs patients, identifies artifacts, edits and forwards results to the attending physician, and maintains EKG equipment and supplies. Requires a high school diploma or GED (or 10 years of experience) and BLS HCP certification; no prior experience required. Works a day shift in a hospital setting with routine patient care and safety duties.
