EICA Engineer - Water / Wastewater

Job Summary
Contribute to discipline design packages across feasibility, optioneering, concept, outline, and detailed design for UK water/wastewater treatment projects. Prepare calculations, specifications, datasheets, schedules, technical notes, reports, drawings, and model inputs under senior guidance while supporting site visits, asset surveys, and discussions with operators, suppliers, and technology providers. Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, EICA, and MEP interfaces to develop integrated, practical, and maintainable treatment solutions, utilizing digital tools and data analysis to improve design quality and efficiency. Support CDM/safety-by-design activities, supplier/contractor reviews, and commissioning handover information while working to agreed scope, budget, and programme.
Required Qualifications
- BEng/MEng or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
- 4+ years' relevant engineering design experience
- Understanding of the treatment design lifecycle
- Ability to prepare clear discipline-specific design deliverables
- Working knowledge of relevant UK standards
- Working knowledge of CDM/safety-by-design principles
- Working knowledge of quality assurance processes
- Ability to coordinate with other disciplines
- Good digital capability, including Excel
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to visit operational works and construction sites as required
- Right to work in the UK
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in municipal water, wastewater, sludge/bioresources, water reuse, nutrient removal, pumping, energy optimisation or low-carbon treatment
- Exposure to AMP8, WINEP, SROs, D&B, framework or alliance delivery environments
- Experience with BIM/3D coordination
- Experience with process simulation
- Experience with hydraulic modelling
- Experience with Power BI
- Experience with Python
- Experience with VBA
- Experience with advanced Excel
- Progress towards IEng or CEng with a relevant professional institution
