Job Summary
EI Resource Classroom position for the 2026-2027 school year in Lincoln Park Public Schools. Duties include adapting, accommodating, and modifying general education curricula, pedagogy, and learning environments for students; aligning and adapting the student's program with the general education curriculum; developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized behavior management strategies and plans based on functional behavioral assessments; facilitating Wraparound Meetings; using a range of curriculum guides to identify functional goals; employing current assessment instruments and approaches to link assessment outcomes to curriculum planning; completing records in a timely manner; communicating with all members of the school and community; meeting the physical and mental demands of the teaching profession; following requirements of supervisors; and serving as classroom instruction and instructional leader for meeting the needs of Special Education students. Salary according to LPEA Salary Schedule; Equal Opportunity Employer statements included. The position reports to the Executive Director of Staff and Student Services and Building Principal(s).
Required Qualifications
- Michigan Special Education Teacher Certification (SE Certification)
- EI Endorsement
- Experience with resource room
- Experience with students with emotional impairments
- Must meet MCL 380.1531 & Administrative Rules Governing the Certification of MI Teachers
- Other requirements as determined by the Lincoln Park Board of Education
