Job Summary
Hands-on EI&C Designer 1 performing electrical design in 3D and 2D AutoCAD, coordinating with engineers to complete drawing packages, including 3D modeling, schematic drawing creation, cable tray layouts, area classifications, grounding and heat trace, BOM creation, lighting design, and instrumentation & controls design (I&C) with I/O wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, panel layouts, and P&ID references; supports construction drawings and integrates input across disciplines to produce complete, accurate projects for oil & gas, heavy industrial, mining, and manufacturing sectors at the Lakewood, CO office. Requires 3 months to 2 years of drafting experience with AutoDesk products, associate degree or equivalent experience preferred, strong communication, problem-solving, self-direction, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Three months to 2 years of drafting experience utilizing AutoDesk products and multidiscipline team projects specific to engineering preferred
- Associate Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to self-direct and take responsibility for own tasks, deliverables, and timelines
- Leadership skills and some experience leading work groups or task forces in specific projects
- Competent user of technology and software required to execute daily tasks
