Job Summary
EHV Core and Coil Assembler — 3rd Shift focuses on hands-on mechanical assembly of transformer components, including placing core laminations, positioning coils with an overhead crane, using hydraulic presses, and crimping insulated copper cables. Responsibilities include training operators, following blueprints and BOMs for precise alignment and assembly, operating cranes and forklifts, setting up core components, landing coils onto the core, crimping copper-to-copper connections, and assembling rigging with overhead cranes. Requires proficiency with hand tools, cranes, hydraulic presses, wire cutters/crimpers, strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail for interpreting technical drawings, and a teamwork mindset with safety and craftsmanship at the forefront. Education: high school diploma or equivalent; preferred experience in heavy mechanical or electrical assembly or related manufacturing roles. Location: Waukesha, WI, USA (on-site).
