Job Summary
EHV Cables Project Manager to join WSP UK Transmission and Distribution team in Newcastle. Responsible for project managing EHV cable projects from design through energisation (33kV–132kV), delivering on time, cost, safety and quality; interface with customers and internal/external resources; undertake CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer roles; visit sites to assess requirements and monitor progress; apply knowledge of switchgear, transformers and overhead lines; adherence to CDM and health & safety standards; frequent travel to client sites in the North East of England and Yorkshire; requires HNC in Electrical Engineering and relevant EHV project lifecycle experience. Join a global team delivering high voltage infrastructure projects.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering
- Experience managing medium-large scale EHV Cable projects (33kV up to and including 132kV) throughout the full project lifecycle
- Good understanding of electrical distribution plant items (Switchgear, Power Transformers, Overhead lines)
- Knowledge of applicable engineering standards
- Excellent understanding of Health & Safety and CDM requirements
- Ability to undertake the role of Designer and Principal Designer under CDM regulations
- Ability to travel to client sites and offices within North East of England and Yorkshire
