Job Summary

Conduct high-voltage and extra-high-voltage transmission line construction, maintenance, and repair, including stringing bundled conductors, setting lattice towers, and performing dead-ending and sagging operations. Execute hot line work, pole climbing, and heavy lifting while troubleshooting energized systems and adhering to strict safety procedures for bare-hand and hot stick operations. Coach crew members on assembly and erection of structures and lead pre-job briefings and tailgate meetings. Perform site preparation, final inspections, and post-construction cleanup during peak load periods across various Texas worksites. Requires five years of recent transmission line experience, ability to travel long distances, and willingness to work extended hours including weekends and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • at least five years of recent transmission line field or related experience
  • Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required
  • Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required
  • Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs
  • Willing to work outside of the normal work schedule including weekends and holidays as required for the position
  • Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather
  • Able to perform rigorous physical labor
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and/or MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check
  • For positions involving driving or DOT-regulated work, employees must also pass a DOT physical including drug screening
