Job Summary
EHSS Specialist identifies, develops and implements safety, environmental and health programs across the Emtek Facility in City of Industry, CA; conducts incident investigations and follows up to ensure corrective actions; coordinates environmental and industrial hygiene testing (storm water, sound, IAQ, personal exposures); leads safety education and training (New Hire Orientation, ongoing actions, recognition programs); maintains written programs and records (SDS, lockout procedures, OSHA reporting); supports Behavior Based Safety (BBS) initiatives; requires 2+ years safety experience in manufacturing, a Bachelor's degree in Safety/Engineering or equivalent, and bilingual Spanish; CSP/OSHA trainer experience preferred; strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of direct safety responsibility
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Bilingual Spanish required
- Comprehensive knowledge of environmental, health, and safety programs, policies, risk identification and control strategies
- CSP/OSHA outreach trainer/Powered Industrial Truck trainer experience preferred
