Job Summary
EHS Trainer role focusing on delivering engaging, instructor-led safety training and maintaining current materials to reflect federal, state, and industry regulations. Responsibilities include leading internal training sessions, updating curricula with regulatory changes, conducting Virtual Instructor-Led Training to dispersed staff, maintaining compliance records, and serving as a safety leadership resource to identify and mitigate workplace hazards. Requires at least 3 years of EHS experience, 6+ months in Oil & Gas, instructor-led training experience, a valid driver's license, strong public speaking, and active instructor certifications (MSHA Part 48b, H2S Clear, SafeLand/IADC RigPass, Smith System, and First Aid/CPR/AED) and ability to travel ~35% to Texas and Oklahoma; travel includes in-person and virtual delivery at corporate/industrial sites.
Required Qualifications
- Three years of EHS-related experience
- Six months to one year of Oil & Gas industry experience
- Instructor-led training experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills for in-person and remote delivery
- Proficiency with virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and digital engagement tools
- Excellent organizational skills for training calendars and documentation
- Active instructor-level certifications in: MSHA Training (Part 48b), H2S Clear for Energy Training, SafeLand/IADC RigPass, Smith System Driver Training, Basic First Aid/CPR/AED (or ability to obtain immediately)
