Job Summary
Collect, sort, and stage plastic components and scrap materials from production lines, transporting them to designated areas using authorized equipment. Maintain FIFO practices, conduct visual checks to minimize contamination, and complete required logs to ensure material accuracy. Perform routine trash removal, support recycling documentation, and participate in 5S housekeeping programs. Communicate irregularities promptly to the supervisor and crosstrain to support material handling across other areas. Requires a forklift license, plastic recycling experience, and ability to lift 40 lbs repeatedly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior material handling or manufacturing experience
- Must obtain a forklift operator's license through company training
- Proven experience in plastic recycling operations
