Job Summary
EHS Supervisor leads and coordinates Environmental, Health and Safety programs for the Verco division, partnering with leadership to drive plant-wide safety culture, environmental compliance, training, audits, and employee development. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations, developing and delivering training, supervising safety and environmental coordinators, and supporting corporate environmental and safety initiatives. Strong focus on safety policy leadership, teamwork, training, and continuous improvement; proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledgeable about OSHA/EPA regulatory frameworks. - Environmental: Promotes environmental stewardship while maintaining compliance in all areas of the site though conformance with Nucor's environmental program. This includes reviewing and implementing environmental technical standards and policies.
- Occupational Safety: Using knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, strategies, and judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws and regulations to promote standards as well as working to continuously improve processes to ensure safety of all individuals.
