EHS Superintendent

Job Summary
Develop and evaluate safety policies, conduct daily plant walk-throughs for housekeeping and PPE compliance, and perform monthly equipment inspections. Lead accident investigations, compile OSHA logs and incident reports, and manage permit writing for confined spaces, hot work, and line breaking. Coordinate medical programs, drug testing, and worker's compensation records while ensuring DOT compliance. Monitor environmental permits, conduct daily visual emissions monitoring, and submit MACT and Tier II reports. Direct formal and informal training programs, orient new hires, and manage contractor safety orientations. Evaluate workplace hazards, calibrate industrial hygiene equipment, and coordinate with regulatory agencies for compliance audits.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or Safety or Environmental related field
- Five (5) years, minimum, experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with EHS responsibilities
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must be available to travel to other plant locations when necessary
- Competency in technical areas of OSHA, EPA, State & Local regulations, State Worker's Compensation rules, and Medical terminology and practices
