Job Summary
Plan, manage, and coordinate all plant safety, health, and environmental programs, including interfacing with local and federal regulatory agencies. Conduct daily walk-throughs of the plant to inspect safe practices, equipment, and housekeeping, while performing monthly inspections of ladders and monitoring daily visual emissions for leaks. Develop, implement, and evaluate safety policies; maintain OSHA logs, incident reports, and MACT compliance submissions; and direct the EHS Coordinator's activities. Manage medical programs, drug testing, and worker's compensation records; conduct accident investigations; and oversee industrial hygiene testing and hazard evaluations. Plan and administer formal and informal training programs for employees and contractors, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Coordinate loss control inspections for insurance and manage purchasing for safety equipment and PPE within the approved budget.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or Safety or Environmental related field
- Five (5) years, minimum, experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with EHS responsibilities
- Must be available to travel to other plant locations when necessary
- Must have valid driver's license
