Job Summary
The EHS Specialist will support daily EHS operations in an automotive manufacturing setting, promoting a proactive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting with the development and improvement of EHS programs. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections and audits, identifying hazards, participating in incident investigations and root-cause analyses, maintaining records for OSHA and regulatory requirements, and supporting training, onboarding, toolbox talks, and safety initiatives. The role is ideal for an entry-level safety professional or recent graduate seeking hands-on experience in industrial health and safety within a manufacturing environment. The position offers opportunities to collaborate with operations, support waste management and environmental monitoring, and contribute to continuous improvement of safety programs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
- 0–2 years of safety/manufacturing/facilities experience
- Internship/co-op/coursework related to EHS desirable
- OSHA regulations knowledge preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to identify hazards and develop solutions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
