EHS Specialist

Job Summary
The EHS Specialist will develop risk reduction initiatives, support employees and leadership in safety improvements, and coordinate EHS development programs to ensure compliance with Huntsman standards and local regulations. Responsibilities include overseeing operations in occupational safety, fire protection, and disaster management; conducting inspections, audits, and incident investigations; maintaining EHS procedures; and enhancing hazard awareness through the 'Zero Harm' program. Candidates should have strong EHS knowledge, a related degree, and at least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in chemical engineering, another technical field, or specialized EHS qualification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a related EHS role in the manufacturing industry
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of EHS principles and compliance requirements
- Practical, hands-on approach with experience in inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Confident professional English skills (spoken and written)
- Excellent communication and influencing skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders
- Team player, eager to learn, and proactive in promoting a safe culture
- Certified Fire Protection Engineer qualification preferred
