EHS Specialist (Field Based)

Job Summary
Independently conduct risk assessments for new equipment and labs, perform compliance and system audits, and assist with near miss/incident investigations. Provide weekly activity reports to managers, support safety committee meetings and emergency drills, and assist with direct reading instrument calibrations. Develop EHS compliance procedures, plans, permits, and reports while serving as the voice of workers' safety needs at assigned sites. Escalate issues and provide improvement feedback to Site Sr EHS Specialists on a weekly basis. Support clients' safety performance through training, field coaching, and targeted assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 7 to 15 years of experience providing EHS support with an emphasis on health and safety, particularly in Tech R and D settings
- Demonstrated understanding of regulatory compliance and reporting processes
- Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Must be available for onsite work in Redmond Washington
- Must be available for a full-time role with a minimum duration of 4 months
