EHS Specialist – Emergency Response

Job Summary
Manage occupational health and emergency response programs, overseeing Workers Compensation claims, incident intervention tracking, and employee care case flow. Coordinate emergency response training, drills, and written program updates while ensuring First Aid/AED equipment is maintained and certified staff are scheduled for CPR, Bloodborne Pathogen, and medical exams. Administer annual screening tests for spirometry, vision, and respirator compliance, and maintain archived medical records and OSHA 300 Logs. Collaborate with internal EHS professionals, vendors, and HR to implement site wellness initiatives and manage new hire orientation. Occasional flexible hours required for on-demand incident response; travel for training may be necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field
- At least 3-5 years' experience in EHS or occupational health setting
- Experience as an emergency responder (EMT/ Firefighting/ Rescue)
- Experience with emergency services and management
- Knowledge and use of computer software & creating/maintaining spreadsheets
- Practiced in program coordination, scheduling, and overall organization
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations
- Occasional requirement to work flexible hours to meet on demand events and respond to incidents
- Travel for training may occasionally be required
- Must be able to take ownership of above mentioned programs, work independently, as well as collaborate effectively across multiple teams and sites

Desired Qualifications
- Currently certified EMT and Fire
- Instructor in CPR/AED/First Aid/Bloodborne Pathogen through American Red Cross or American Heart Association (or willing to obtain within 6 mo)
- Prior experience in managing Workers Compensation and FML and disability leaves
