Job Summary
Respond to immediate safety needs and provide initial response to EHS incidents. Participate in Incident Review meetings and monitor recycling and waste disposal. Facilitate facility-wide EHS inspections and schedules while ensuring day-to-day compliance with EHS policies and regulations. Help establish and grow the company's safety culture through daily interaction with associates. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Health and Safety or 3+ years of relevant work experience. The position is fully onsite at the Illuminate USA manufacturing facility in Columbus, Ohio, with a 12-hour shift.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Health and Safety
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- high level of attention to detail and organization
- Ability to communicate within all levels of the organization and with all internal and external stakeholders
- Maintains a positive attitude and displays proactive habits
- Work a 12-hour shift
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30–40 lbs
- Frequent walking throughout the production floor, warehouse areas, and outdoor areas
