EHS Specialist - Corporate | Manufacturing (Kerrville, TX. based)

Job Summary
Facilitate EHS programs across assigned operations, facilities, and retail stores by identifying hazards, proposing corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Provide guidance to employees and management on safety practices, regulatory requirements, and environmental compliance while promoting proactive hazard reporting and a strong safety culture. Partner with cross-functional teams to implement risk reduction solutions, monitor safety performance trends, and maintain accurate EHS documentation and permits. Conduct on-site audits, inspections, and coaching to prevent accidents, lead incident investigations with root cause analysis, and develop training programs. May oversee wastewater treatment facilities and participate in safety committees. Requires a Bachelor's degree, five years of EHS experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 5 years' experience in environmental, health and safety
- Must have valid State Driver's License and be able to meet James Avery's driving requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
- Ability to travel to various work locations as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or related field
- Experience in environmental, health and safety in multi-store retail or manufacturing environment
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation
- Experience with Riskonnect Incident Management software
