Job Summary
EHS Specialist (Safety) responsible for supporting emergency preparedness, response, and environmental compliance across pipeline, terminal, produced water, and gas processing operations. Duties include emergency response planning, training and exercise coordination, incident documentation, response equipment readiness, spill response oversight, site assessments, environmental sampling, contractor coordination, regulatory reporting, SPCC/FRP coordination, and ongoing regulatory compliance. Requires delivering emergency response training (CPR/First Aid, HAZWOPER, ICS), maintaining readiness of response resources, coordinating with operations and external agencies, and coordinating environmental contractor activities. Qualifications include a 4-year/Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 2+ years in related fields, valid driver’s license, HAZWOPER certs, and willingness to obtain additional certifications (drone license, instructor trainings, FEMA classes). The role emphasizes safety programs, incident investigations, and collaboration with operations, contractors, and external agencies.
Required Qualifications
- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- Two (2) or more years Experience in a related field such as Environmental Consulting, Safety, and/or Emergency Response (Required)
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to company and insurers
- HAZWOPER 40-hr certification
- Hot Zone qualified in the ERT Medical Surveillance Program
- Must be willing to get drone pilot license, HAZWOPER 40 hour instructor training, CPR instructor training, and completed FEMA classes to fulfill role
