Job Summary
EHS Safety Professional to lead and maintain safety programs at the ABS Compounding Facility and CSC, including pilot-scale and laboratory environments. Responsibilities include implementing and improving workplace safety programs aligned with OSHA regulations and LG Chem EHS management system requirements; enforcing site safety rules and permit systems; leading or supporting JSAs, process hazard reviews (HAZOP), and MOC for new/modified equipment or processes; ensuring compliance with LOTO, confined space, hot work, NFPA 70E, and other safety standards; supporting safety training, incident investigations, and safety culture initiatives; collaborating with R&D to integrate safety requirements into testing activities; and performing related duties across shifts. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Safety/EHS/related field, 3+ years of safety experience in chemical manufacturing or similar environments, working knowledge of OSHA regulations, and US work authorization. The role is based in Ravenna, Ohio, and is primarily day-shift with occasional off-shift or weekend work as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, EHS, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
- 3+ years of safety experience in chemical manufacturing, plastics compounding, polymer processing, or similar industrial environments
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to process equipment, industrial machinery, and laboratory operations
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship
