Job Summary
Prepare, implement, and monitor the project EHS plan while ensuring safety awareness among project managers. Lead safety meetings with the client and trades, supervise client oversight resources, and assess contractor safety plans. Review high-risk activities, champion safety initiatives, and apply lessons learned to investigations and root cause analyses. Ensure client safety requirements and local codes are met while maintaining synergy with the Turner & Townsend Safety Programme. This site-based role in Oulu, Finland, requires on-site availability and leadership of large-scale, complex projects.
Required Qualifications
- several years' experience in EHS lead Management positions
- Demonstrable experience in working on large scale, complex projects
- Practiced in project control mechanisms and with technical risk assessments
- Strong communication skills
- ability to visualize issues and communicate them to others
- Outstanding organization, coordination, and leadership skills
- ability to coordinate and motivate groups of Consultants / Contractors
- Experienced in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- comfortable with being client facing
- Ability to work collaboratively and pro-actively in a team environment
- Availability for on-site work
