Job Summary
Lead the site as the primary EHS leader and embedded plant partner, integrating risk management into production, maintenance, and daily decision-making. Maintain a visible presence across shifts to champion a learning-focused culture grounded in Human and Organizational Performance principles, creating psychological safety for hazard reporting and coaching leaders on Just Culture responses. Drive high-risk manufacturing controls by overseeing machine safeguarding, Lockout/Tagout programs, and ergonomic risk reduction while managing regulatory compliance with OSHA standards and environmental obligations. Lead incident investigations using learning-based methods to develop corrective actions, manage training systems, and analyze data to track leading indicators for continuous improvement. Serve as the primary contact for regulatory inspections and audits, ensuring sustainable corrective actions and professional engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
- Five or more years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, assembly, industrial operations, building products, or a similarly complex operating environment
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA General Industry requirements
- Demonstrated experience with machine safeguarding
- Demonstrated experience with Lockout/Tagout
- Demonstrated experience with powered industrial trucks
- Demonstrated experience with ergonomics
- Demonstrated experience with incident investigation
- Demonstrated experience with occupational health programs
- Experience building effective EHS systems beyond basic compliance
- Experience partnering directly with plant operations and maintenance teams
- Demonstrated ability to influence frontline employees, supervisors, and senior leaders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong facilitation skills

- Strong follow-through skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Proficiency with EHS management systems
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certification such as CSP, ASP, OHST, CIH, or CHMM
