Job Summary
Lead safety programs, audits, and investigations while driving a proactive, behavior-based safety culture where safety precedes production. Maintain OSHA logs, ensure regulatory compliance, and coach leaders to improve awareness and accountability through safety committees. Manage environmental compliance efforts including air, wastewater, and waste programs, overseeing permits, reporting, and onsite wastewater systems. Deliver training on lockout/tagout, PPE, and hazard communication while partnering with engineering to reduce risks from plastics processing and robotics. Support emergency response planning for fires, spills, and medical incidents, and analyze environmental data to identify improvement opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental compliance
- Experience investigating incidents and performing root cause analysis
- Ability to influence employees and leadership to drive safe work practices
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Experience in plastics, injection molding, blow molding, or industrial manufacturing is strongly preferred
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred
- CHST, ASP, or other professional safety certification
- First Aid / CPR / AED
