Job Summary
Lead safety culture and employee engagement by championing a facility-wide safety culture, maintaining high visibility on the manufacturing floor, and promoting proactive behaviors through the "Good Catch" program. Drive investigation excellence by leading injury and illness cases from initial reporting through closure, conducting root cause analyses, and ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions. Manage risk assessment and hazard identification activities by facilitating proactive area risk assessments, leading routine GEMBA walks, and evaluating workplace hazards to implement effective controls. Ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness by leading internal and external EHS audits, maintaining OSHA and EPA records, and facilitating regulatory inspections. Provide leadership for the site's third-party security services operation, overseeing 24/7/365 site coverage, incident management, and security performance reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline
- 7+ years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience implementing and managing EHS management systems
- Experience with environmental reporting requirements
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing operational teams
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
