Job Summary
Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular EHS inspections and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of preventive measures for EHS incidents. Manage and maintain all EHS training programs, ensuring employees are adequately trained on safety protocols and procedures. Oversee the hazardous waste management program, ensuring proper handling, storage, and disposal of materials. Collaborate with engineering and operations to integrate EHS considerations into new projects, equipment, and processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels
Desired Qualifications
- Certification such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM
- CI/Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for EHS performance analysis
- Experience with a recognized EHS management system software (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Sphera)
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist)
