Job Summary
EHS Manager leading site-level Environmental Health & Safety strategies in a manufacturing setting. Responsible for developing and implementing EHS programs, systems, and controls aligned with company objectives and regulatory requirements across environmental, health, and safety standards. Oversees performance metrics, drives continuous improvement, leads injury prevention, hazardous chemical management, business continuity planning, and employee training. Acts as a business partner to site leadership to identify EHS risks, influence operational decisions, and promote a proactive safety culture. Manages incident reporting and investigations, corrective actions, and communication to stakeholders; actively manages Workers’ Compensation cases; serves as a resource for fire, storm, and other property-related issues; administers site audit processes and ensures timely corrective actions; supports investment justification and project implementation from an EHS perspective; maintains knowledge through industry engagement and publications.
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations affecting manufacturing practices
- Knowledge of safety and protection of workers and environment
- Experience with EHS program development and incident investigations
- Experience with workers’ compensation processes
- Ability to lead audits and corrective actions
