Job Summary
Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and develop preventative measures for EHS-related incidents. Provide EHS training to employees at all levels, covering topics such as hazard communication, emergency response, and safe work practices. Manage hazardous waste programs, including proper storage, labeling, and disposal according to regulatory requirements. Oversee the EHS management system and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate EHS considerations into new projects, equipment, and processes. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant environmental and safety regulations
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and management systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) designation
- Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 implementation and maintenance
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Proficiency in EHS software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Enablon)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
