EHS Manager

Job Summary
Develop and administer occupational health, safety, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene programs while maintaining site-specific environmental permits and reporting requirements. Identify hazards, facilitate preventive actions, and coach employees toward safer behavior through direct factory floor presence. Manage hazardous waste streams, perform Job Hazard Analysis, and develop Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations by serving as the interface for agency inspections and audits. Lead the Safety Committee, investigate injuries to determine root causes, and complete companywide Safety Alerts. Maintain OSHA 300 logs, administer the Workers' Compensation program, and deliver EHS training to new and existing employees. Establish incident prevention objectives and monitor industrial hygiene factors such as chemical exposure and noise. Collaborate with the HR Manager to reduce workers' compensation costs and assist with quality-related activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Safety/Environmental/Safety Science/Engineering or related area
- 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of regional and local EHS compliance and regulatory requirements as they relate to the manufacturing and facility operations
- Travel required, up to 10%
- Some knowledge of the Quality aspects in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in environmental and/or safety at a manufacturing setting
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
