EHS Manager I

Job Summary

Maintain and improve the EHS program at the Plant City facility to ensure compliance with corporate and OHSA VPP guidelines while preserving Star Status. Conduct timely incident investigations, develop corrective action plans, and lead peer-to-peer behavioral observations to reduce injuries. Manage workers' compensation reporting and costs, oversee annual training for all facility members, and review new equipment for safety and environmental performance. Facilitate safe behavior observation processes and ensure the EHS team completes all SQF, HAACP, and internal audit requirements. Develop the EHS Coordinator position and maintain databases for incident trends and training attendance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, EHS or equivalent
  • 2 years of EHS experience
  • Must be able to accurately observe correct paths of travel and areas for product placement
  • Must be able to communicate and exchange information with teammates
  • Must be able to operate office equipment including desktop computers, handheld devices, photocopiers, scanners, facsimile machines, and voicemail systems
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on occasion
  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, squat, climb, reach, grasp, grip, carry, and maneuver around an office and the production floor
  • Must be able to work on manufacturing production floor and able to wear all required safety equipment
  • Responsible as the facility EHS&S PEPS pillar lead and must maintain a minimum of Bronze assessment certification

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferably in a Lithographic offset printing environment
  • Experience with team-based work groups
