Job Summary
Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation for all EHS-related incidents. Manage hazardous waste programs, including waste characterization, disposal, and recordkeeping. Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees, contractors, and visitors. Oversee the management of industrial hygiene programs, including air monitoring and noise surveys. Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance through the development and tracking of key metrics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into all aspects of manufacturing operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and systems
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the experience in training and incident investigation
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certification such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) designation
- Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 implementation and maintenance
- Proficiency in EHS management software (e.g., Gensuite, Intelex, Sphera)
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
- Fluency in Spanish or other languages relevant to the workforce
