Job Summary
EHS Manager needed to lead and manage data center construction site safety near Gary, IN. Responsibilities include developing and implementing safety standards, conducting site audits, maintaining regulatory compliance, creating SOPs/EOPs/MOPs, maintaining safety records, analyzing safety data, leading daily safety briefings, and reporting on safety metrics. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of EHS leadership in a data center environment; onsite experience at a data center is required. OSHA certifications are a plus; CNESST and NEBOSH familiarity is highly valued. Strong communication and ability to influence safety culture are essential; veterans with technical electrical/mechanical experience are encouraged. Relocation to Gary, IN or nearby is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Operations, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience in a data center environment
- Previous experience working onsite at a Data Center supporting EHS for both facility operations / construction a must
- Previous experience managing inventory management / warehouse operations a plus
- Previous Data Center Industry standards and infrastructure strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in managing site safety programs and regulatory compliance
- OSHA Certifications a plus
- Advanced knowledge of regulatory safety standards; familiarity with CNESST and NEBOSH standards a huge plus
- Proven leadership in developing safety programs, emergency response plans, and operational procedures - SOPs, MOPs, EOPs
- Experience managing audits, incident investigations, and training programs
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interface across multiple departments
- Ability to influence safety culture and promote a proactive, high-performing team environment
- Military veterans with technical experience in electrical/mechanical systems highly encouraged to apply (e.g., Navy nukes, Seabees, Army Power Generation, etc.) with experience in safety, facilities, or technical operations are strongly encouraged to apply
