Job Summary

Environmental Health and Safety Manager responsible for implementing policies to ensure a safe, healthy work environment at a vinyl tile manufacturing facility in Gordon County, GA; oversee company compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations; develop and implement inspection policies, health-and-safety procedures, and training on emergency procedures; manage programs, certifications, procedures, and KPIs; drive a zero-accident culture; maintain MSDS files and regulatory reporting; collaborate with Plant Manager and department managers; lead incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety inspections; ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials; serve as a key liaison with regulators and external stakeholders; continuously improve EHS processes and training across the plant.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe/secure work environment
  • Leads/implements development and administration of plant environmental, health and safety processes (e.g., inspections, audits, lockout/tagout, confined space, hot work permits)
  • Develops and facilitates training on EHS initiatives and regulatory topics
  • Communicates with regulators and authorities on environmental, health and safety compliance issues
