Job Summary
The EHS Manager will lead and manage environmental, health, and safety programs at the plant, developing and implementing policies, procedures and systems to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. This role interfaces with regulators, community groups, contractors, and consultants, and acts as the primary liaison between enforcement agencies and plant operations. Responsibilities include defining EHS goals aligned with corporate objectives, conducting risk assessments, investigations of incidents, delivering training, overseeing contractor safety programs, coordinating environmental permits and reporting, and maintaining EHS documentation. The position requires strong leadership to influence operations staff, occasional travel to other business units, and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in EHS within industrial operations. A BS degree is required; professional certifications are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field from an accredited university is required.
