Job Summary
EHS Manager responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across Brenntag Southwest operations; ensure full regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, FIFRA, and state/local agencies; provide specialized regulatory leadership in pesticide product registrations and related chemical distribution activities; serve as a subject matter expert for risk reduction, regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness, and product stewardship; lead regulatory compliance for pesticide registrations under FIFRA with the U.S. EPA, coordinate state registrations and reporting, manage EPA RMP requirements, keep permits (air, SPCC, hazardous waste, Tier II, TRI) up to date, and oversee chemical management, SDS library, HazCom, and labeling programs; lead safety programs (LOTO, confined space, hot work, machine guarding, fall protection, industrial hygiene, process safety), conduct investigations and root-cause analysis, perform site inspections and audits, and deliver training; manage hazardous waste handling, SPCC plans, environmental monitoring, and regulatory liaison with EPA and state agencies; support due diligence for acquisitions, drive continuous improvement, and maintain training records and EHS documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination)
- 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in chemical distribution, manufacturing, or related industry (pesticide/regulated product experience strongly preferred)
- Certifications: CSP, CHMM, ASP, CIH, or equivalent (preferred)
