EHS Manager

Job Summary
Coordinate, direct, and monitor all site-specific EHS compliance programs, issues, and results. Assist site managers in developing and instituting procedures to ensure environmentally compliant, safe, and legal facility operations, while identifying root causes and mitigations for safety incidents. Maintain accurate reporting, recordkeeping, and OSHA 300 logs; manage Industrial Hygiene and Medical Surveillance Programs including exposure sampling and annual screenings. Plan emergency drills, coordinate with emergency services, and serve as the liaison for HR regarding drug and reasonable suspicion testing. Travel between project sites to evaluate management commitment, share best practices, and implement continuous improvement solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, engineering, science or other related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with safety compliance programs, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Demonstrated knowledge, experience and understanding of environmental, occupational health and safety requirements to implement related policies and procedures
- Experience working with local, state and federal regulatory agencies
- Licenses as required by local, state, federal, environmental and/or health/safety regulatory agencies
- Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Proficiency with EHS information systems
- Proficiency with agency reporting software
- Strong work ethic and sound judgment
- Outstanding communications and organizational skills
- Ability to influence and mentor others
- Ability to prioritize work, manage stress, work autonomously and accept constructive feedback
- Ability to work effectively in adverse environmental conditions, including wet or humid conditions, airborne particles, potential exposure to dust, and chemicals, varied temperatures and outdoor weather conditions, and noise in the work environment
- Team player spirit and ability to enhance plant morale
- Respect for Safety, Health & Environment in the workplace
