Job Summary
Manage safety and health programs at Valley Metals by developing guidance for all managers and supervisors while ensuring compliance with OSHA, NIOSH, and EPA regulations. Conduct facility audits, interpret standards, investigate incidents, and implement behavior-based safety initiatives to reduce hazards. Benchmark plant performance against best-in-class manufacturing to drive continuous improvement and maintain accurate regulatory recordkeeping. Provide strategic direction for hazard prevention and lead training development to enhance overall EHS performance.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and execute tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience and/or exposure in EHS role(s) involving leading, coaching employees, or Safety Committee membership
- Ability to interact with all levels of management
- Excellent leadership abilities
- Knowledge of OSHA & EPA requirements
- Knowledge and experience with Behavior Based Safety techniques
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Occupation Safety and/or Environmental or related field, preferred
